It’s me: Jen

It’s me, Jen… I am a 32 year old not so average gal living in the oh so sunny, So Cal.

I love all things glittery, fun and fabulous! I have a skinnier me on the inside just waiting to burst out… I love any clothing that is not average & can’t wait to be able to buy all the amazing things I have wanted to the last 10 years but haven’t! Betsey Johnson I will be your number #1 shopper one day I promise! I don’t remember the last time I was able to just go in a “normal” store and buy something off the rack. But soon baby, I will! This blog is the incredible journey of letting the skinnier me on the inside out!

So back in the day when I was skinnier, I worked out at the gym, ate healthy and did whatever I wanted to… basically. Then at the great old age of 20 I met and married my wonderful husband Jeremy. Jeremy and I were married and soon after I noticed that I was gaining about 10 lbs per year of marriage! After a few years of trying to conceive, I went to the doctor and got a diagnoses that would change my life forever. I was diagnosed with PCOS (Poly-cystic ovarian syndrome). Basically my body has insulin resistance and loves loves loves to take sugar and store it as fat. This is why I can look at cake and gain weight. We later learned that I also have blocked fallopian tubes, which makes the only way for us to have a family through a miracle, adoption or IVF. The miracle is free, the other options are tens of thousands of dollars. =(  The only way to reduce the effects of the PCOS is to lose weight. So that is one of the main reasons I am losing weight. It will not cure the blocked fallopian tubes, but it will lesson the PCOS and I will feel fabulous.

To celebrate my skinniness when I hit my weight goal of a sassy 110, I will buy a Bestey dress and go out with my hubby for a night on the town!
